A fun early evening of poetry, art and musical improvisation - An ekphrastic poem is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art. Through the imaginative act of narrating and reflecting on the “action” of a painting or sculpture, the poet may amplify and expand its meaning.

Bring a poem, an instrument, some food or beverage to share. Family Friendly Event.

Alien Landscapes of Tracy Lindenthal and a Special Selection from the artists of the Electric Pyramid bring you a feast for the senses along with selected works from the Delurk Collective.

Informal Artist Gathering with this month's featured artists to share in conversation about their own art and the collaborative community evolving around the Arts District in Winston-Salem. Eric Glenn and friends will be lending sound to the occasion and Spoken word artists, poets and writers of all kinds are welcome to share their work as well.

Second Annual - To give people an opportunity to show a broader range of work, we scrapped our original February 2016 show idea at Delurk to give you a show with a broader theme. So broad in fact, that there's no theme at all! We considered calling the show "everything but the kitchen sink", but then we thought about it, and decided... ehh.. you can even submit your kitchen sink if you want! 

Celebrate the odd and exotic, the artful and magical of the Arthood with old friends and new at the Downtown Arts District Association's Annual Covered Dish and neighborhood awards event!

Guest Artists Maggie Snoke, Charleston, SC and Jason Antaya, Chicopee, Massachusetts Longtime Delurker Will Safrit and Founding Member Chad Beroth have teamed up this fall to create a body of work that at once playful and evocative. That's all we are going to say, for now. You can catch a glimpse in the teaser image. Come Delurk yourself and find out what this strange alchemy hath wrought.

The Fantastic Worlds of John D. Gall

        Recent paintings by John D. Gall bring forth an extension of his work done over the past 25 years but with a much more surreal influence within his subject matter.  Those familiar with his work may be surprised to see paintings rather than original prints (etching and relief) but John’s unique imagery or “artistic signature” is ever present in any medium he uses.  All the new paintings exhibit a heightened sense of color, being vibrant and rich.
