Kitchen Sink Prospectus 2025

“The Kitchen Sink” - OPEN CALL

MAY 2025 at Delurk Gallery

Show Title:

• The KITCHEN SINK.

Theme:

• “Anything but the Kitchen Sink” (no rules).

Fees:

  • There is NO submission fee to enter.

  • Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the Gallery.

  • Delurk will make shipping arrangements for the works sold.

  • Delurk Gallery retains a 40% commission from all works sold.

Accepted Mediums:

• Any/All.

Age Requirements:

• None. Anyone of any age can submit work for consideration.

Size Constraints:

• Art must fit through our door at Delurk.

• Art must be 8 feet or less at the longest dimension to fit on our walls.

Submission Requirements:

• 2D work: all 2D work must be “gallery ready” (wired and/or ready to hang. No sawtooth hangers, please).

* 3D work: all 3D works must either be freestanding, come with an artist-supplied pedestal, wall mount, and/or display stand, or it must fit on one of Delurk's display pedestals (please include applicable display and size information in submission). 

• Video: all applicable video equipment and monitors must be provided by the artist. Please, list all equipment in the proposal so we can ensure our ability to support the technical requirements of the installation.

Number of Pieces:

• You may submit up to 5 entries.

How To Submit: 

• Please submit all entries to: exhibitions@delurkgallery.com

• Email Subject: "The KITCHEN SINK"

• Please include in the body of the email: 

a) digital images of submitted work.

b) label information for each submitted piece:

• Label information should include:

            - artist name

            - title

            - dimensions, HxW (xD if 3D)

            - medium

            - price

            - year created (if you want the year listed on your label)

Submission Deadline:

• Digital submissions will be accepted anytime between now and 11:59 pm, April 30, 2025. 

Notification of Selected Works: 

• Notification of selected works will be sent via email by 11:59 pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2025.

Deadline for Delivery of Accepted Works:

• All accepted works are due between May 3-10.

• Work can be delivered during Delurk’s regular business hours, 12-6 Wed-Sat, 12-4 Sun. (If you are unable to drop off during regular gallery hours, please email delurkgallery@gmail.com to make other arrangements.)

• Shipped work must arrive during the above-stated delivery dates. (PLEASE INCLUDE RETURN SHIPPING LABLE IN YOUR PACKAGE).

Opening Reception - ART CRUSH:

• Friday, May 16, 2025, 6-9 pm.

Gallery Hop:

• Friday, June 6, 2025, 7-10 pm.

Artists Talk - ART CRUSH:

• Friday, June 20, 2025, 6-9 pm.

Show duration: 

• Friday, May 16, 2025 - Sunday, June 29, 2025.

Gallery hours:

  • 12-6 pm Wed-Sat

  • 12-4 pm Sunday.

  • Private showing by appointment.
